While at university, when hitting the nightclubs or when on a summer holiday, I wish I could have understood and enjoyed a cold beer a bit more. The amber liquid in a cold glass always looked tempting and refreshing but unfortunately, the taste and the bitter notes just didn’t do it for me.

I generally stuck to the wine, aperitifs or the cocktails but it could have all been different if I had discovered this Grapefruit Radler from the clever folks at Stiegl in Austria.

Made by combining Austria’s famous Stiegl Goldbräu lager with fresh grapefruit juice, this is a brew that will make beer haters instant lovers.  Naturally cloudy, it has just 2% alcohol and with the fruity flavours, tang and fizz, I promise you will not find a more refreshing beer around. Sensational for the summer months.

Fantastic on its own, I also discovered that this beer behemoth can also be utilised in beer cocktails (who even knew!) so I have pushed the beer boat out and come up with this absolute beauty.

The Stiegl Grapefruit Radler is now available in Sainsburys so I would recommend stocking up this summer and getting your beer cocktails on!
